Our second mainstage of the year. The board picks the title in December and auditions follow in January — put your name on the list and you will hear it the same day we announce it.

The CVCT Academy
Open sessions through the season, taught by artists who work at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, at SUU, and in Iron County classrooms. Most are free, and every one has a scholarship.

CVCT stages two productions a year today. The plan is more — a third mainstage, a youth production, and workshops running alongside them. This layout already holds them; the season just has to catch up.
About us
In 2012 a man with a dream put up Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Cedar City. Fourteen seasons later, the dream is a standing invitation.
Cedar Valley Community Theatre is run by volunteers and paid for by ticket buyers. Our auditions are open — no appointment, no agent, no experience. The person singing next to you might be a math professor at SUU, a dental hygienist, a high school band director, or somebody who has never been on a stage before and decided that this year they would.
We've done Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie, Oklahoma!, The King and I, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Lately we've reached further — James and the Giant Peach, Bright Star, Matilda, The Scarlet Pimpernel. The building changes. The company doesn't.
What we're actually building is not a season. It's the reason a hundred people in a small town in southern Utah know each other's names.

Auditions
Sign-ups open Monday, September 14. Which time you pick depends on your age, so we ask that first and then show you only the times you can actually take.
If none of them work, email us. We have never turned away somebody who wanted to be heard.
Grants & sponsors
Businesses, foundations, and grant partners all use the same form. We answer within three days, and everything stays in Iron County.
